On the Eve of the North American Leaders’ Summit, Migrants Demand Justice

Mexico City – On the eve of the North American Leaders’ Summit in Toluca, Mexico, Centro de los Derechos del Migrante, Inc. and a transnational coalition of migrants and their advocates call for an immediate, meaningful response from the United States and Mexican governments about serious violations of the rights of Mexican migrants who work in the United States under the H-2 visa programs. Despite the protections for migrants guaranteed under the North American Agreement on Labor Cooperation, the North American Free Trade Agreement labor side accord, grave rights violations persist.
