Today President Obama gave remarks at the White House calling on the House of Representatives to take initiative in passing immigration reform. President Obama stated that after the government shutdown and near debt default, the House of Representatives should push forward with their own proposals for immigration reform or take up the bipartisan Senate bill that was recently introduced in the House. The president stated that it is time for bipartisan action to keep immigration reform moving.
