The Senate voted yesterday 67-27 on the motion for cloture (a motion to end debate on the underlying amendment) to Senator Leahy’s Amendment 1183 which included the Corker-Hoeven border security agreement.  Many see yesterday’s vote as a predictor of the ultimate success of the Senate immigration bill.

There will be additional procedural motions this week, and the Senate is expected to give a final vote on the overall bill later this week.
